Description
What is bromelain?
We all know what pineapples are, but many of us may not be aware of what bromelain is. Bromelain is a naturally occurring enzyme found in the pineapple plant, mainly present in the stem. Many enzymes are broken down in the stomach, but the digestive enzyme bromelain is resistant to acidic conditions.
Why choose Healthspan’s Bromelain?
We use a standardised, natural source extract from the stem of the pineapple plant to ensure a high quality, concentrated formulation. What’s more, we’ve added vitamin C to support your bones and joints.* Each one-a-day tablet provides our nutrition experts’ recommended level of 500 mg bromelain.
*Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of bones and cartilage.
Complementary products
It is recommended that anyone taking bromelain should also consider one of our Optiflex® Glucosamine supplements, as these nutrients complement each other’s beneficial actions perfectly.
